Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire (Through Acorn Open Studios)

Come along on a journey through the colourful world of art this May as the Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire (OSWBNH) initiative springs to life once again, running from May 4th to May 27th, 2024. I'm thrilled to share that I'll be part of this year's line-up, among 24 new artists joining the ranks of 135 creators across 89 venues. I'm excited to extend a personal invitation to you to explore the works of these emerging talents and immerse yourself in their creative realms. You can find more information about the Open Studios [here] https://www.open-studios.org.uk/portfolios/2024/kusum-shabong .

Together with seven other local artists, we've formed our own collective, 'Acorn Open Studios', proudly flying the OSWBNH banner. We're throwing open our studio doors and venues, free of charge, to showcase our creations right where they were born. You can find more details about our group [here] https://acornopenstudios.uk/ .

I'll be opening my venue, number 30, to showcase my work throughout May, including both days of the weekend. Expect to see a few live demonstrations and enjoy some refreshments. And don't miss the chance to win a delightful hamper by visiting all eight venues under Acorn!

Participating in an event like Open Studios can be both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. As an artist, I'm usually more on the introverted side, but I'm eager to connect with anyone interested in learning about my creative process and journey. You can find me at [location : https://maps.app.goo.gl/jMkxbToTvujamn9A7 ], just keep an eye out for the colourful banner!

The annual Open Studios event continues to thrive, with increasing numbers of visitors, artists, and sales each year. It's a true testament to the vibrant artistic community that surrounds us. You can even read about it in the April issue of Round and About, where this event is featured. And don't forget to check out the INSIGHT showcase exhibition at The Base in Greenham, Newbury, where I'm exhibiting two of my works. Here, you can engage in meaningful conversations with artists as they share insights into their creative processes. Our art space is designed to feel warm and inviting, ensuring that everyone can enjoy and appreciate art. While our artworks are available for purchase, there's absolutely no pressure to buy—we're here to enrich your visit and celebrate the joy of art together.
